SIMPEH

The aim of the SIMPEH project (Simulador para empresas hoteleras, Simulator for hotel companies) is the development of a system capable of simulating and visualizing the impact on the hotel industry of changes in the internal business processes. This will be achieved by taking into account all the environmental variables and it will lead to obtain a vision of changes in the territory in which the companies operate.

SIMPACT is a simulation and visualization software that allows the emulation and the simulation of the behaviour of a hotel company based on real variables and operational parameters. It supports the decision-making process thanks to the validation of business hypotheses through the real time control of the behaviour of all the variables defined as keys.

Project´s objective and aim

SIMPEH main objectives are:

• To improve significantly the quality of the economic measures undertaken by the hotel companies through the adoption of techniques such as the data mining and the patterns recognition
• To let hotel companies have an easier access to useful information in order to foresee the consequences and the benefits of business actions
• To provide the identification and the evaluation of best practices seen as an important source of information for marketing decisions
• To rationalize costs and to improve the quality of economical measures for hotel companies providing an instrument for the impact assessment

Through SIMPEH it is possible to achieve a preliminary analysis of the economic measures that can be adopted by hotels and a subsequent optimization at an early stage of study.

SIMPEH will provide a substantial saving in terms of costs and an increase in the efficiency.
